Privacy policy
Läpki is a small business in Montréal, Québec. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights under Québec’s privacy law (Law 25) and Canada’s PIPEDA.
Who is responsible

What we collect and why

We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Service providers
- Stripe processes payments and stores order details.
- Netlify hosts this website and receives contact and newsletter forms.
- Google Fonts serves the website’s fonts, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Canada Post receives your name and address when we ship.
Some of these providers store information outside Québec, including in the United States. We only share what each needs to do its job.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Your cart and language choice are saved in your own browser so they’re still there when you come back. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Customer accounts
Creating an account is optional. If you create one, we keep your email, name, phone number if you add it, your dogs' names and sizes, and the order numbers linked to it. Your password is stored only in a scrambled form that nobody, including us, can read. A cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. You can change your details or delete your account at any time from the account page; orders stay in our records as the law requires for accounting.
Visit statistics
To see which pages and designs people look at, we count visits without cookies and without storing your IP address. Each visit is turned into an anonymous code that changes every day, so visits can’t be linked to you or across days. We only keep totals (pages viewed, the site you came from, phone or computer, language).
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax law requires (generally 6 years). Contact messages are deleted after 2 years. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to lapki.petwear@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by writing to us.
